Women's Over 35 Beginner Workshop
Your doctor has been on your case to lower your cholesterol. A family member
is dropping not-so-subtle hints about you getting in shape. Your new year's
resolution is already falling apart, and the scale is creeping up. Any
of this sound familiar? 
The Women's Beginner Workshop will take you through all the necessary steps to prepare yourself mentally, emotionally, and physically to start an exercise program. Many of us begin going to the gym, or jumping on our treadmill, only to find that a few weeks later, we are unmotivated...and often give up. If you prepare yourself correctly and know what to expect, you will have a much easier time getting back into those smaller jeans.
In the workshop you will:
Learn to Set Specific Goals - 'Losing Weight' is not specific enough. Neither is 'Get Strong'. Brainstorm the smaller goals that will help to achieve the bigger ones. Learn how to word your goals to make them easier to achieve.
Identify appropriate exercise methods for your body - everyone has different likes and dislikes, health concerns, and fitness goals.
Learn how to match your goals with activities that will get you where you
want to be!
Discuss probable setbacks & how to overcome them - knowing
what to expect can help you plan on an appropriate way to skirt the problems
most people have with sticking to an exercise program.
Discover your fitness level - Learn to take your resting heart rate, calculate your target heart rate
zone, track your progress, and measure your success!
Explore local options -
whether you are trying to build an at-home gym, find a gym with the right
fit to your budget, or locating a personal trainer who is right for you,
there are a couple important questions that you should ask yourself.

The Women's Workshop is limited to a class size of 8 and costs $29.

30 Minute Burn
Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays @ 2 pm starting March 1st!
This class is a quick-paced, 30 minute session utilizing dumbbells, weighted balls, resistance tubing, body weight, and cardio drills to get your heart rate pumping!
Exercises are focused for beginner level students, so if you are new to group exercise, don't worry! Everything can be modified to be easier or harder depending on your level of fitness.
March Session (14 classes) $130.
Drop ins are welcome if space permits - $10/session
Class size is limited to 6 participants.
